..chaaaaalston.

..to say the VERY least, last weekend was anything but boring. just the fact that i was spending the weekend in charleston was enough for me. BUT, you know me and the last thing my life is, is boring. the trip started friday night with my daddy and i singing along to HIS eminem cd...nothing like rapping "love the way you lie" with pops.
so saturday gets here (the official bridal portrait shooting day) and it is a BEA-UTIFUL day outside until the minute my kennedi walks out of the salon. our luck, its starts raining...and looking like "holy auntie em" vicious clouds out. after a lap around downtown dodging rain drops..we went into an a-mazing hotel (which shall remain nameless b/c they were ever so kind to break the rules and allow us to shoot inside). we got some so-so shots, so i convinced my kennedi to try again the next day. oh, and i must say how much i enjoyed the roof top bar afterwards...as it was NOT raining saturday evening.
on sunday i couldn't complain waiting in the salon for several hours b/c the fabo jimmy opened the shop to re-do K's hair an makeup..and well, i got a very nicely priced toner put on my hair...washed and rinsed by my bride. hallelujah it was gorgeous and didn't rain a drop until mrs. inn-keeper america "rained" on our parade and kicked us off of using her gate. this particular hotel on the battery as well shall remain nameless because my K sent them a VERY well worded email to make up for our emotional distress. :)
on a serious note, i seriously dug this trip because i got to spend some much needed time just me and the rents'. i got to know kennedi & her mom way more than i usually get the chance to with my brides...which btw, they are SO fabo. AND, we got some breathtaking shots of her in that wedding gown...it doesn't hurt when your venue is as beautiful as your bride. so since i can't show you these until after oct. 15th, for your viewing pleasure here is some random chucktown portraiture...errrr...i mean the properties hubs & i own.
